The Accommodation:

My wife and I wanted to book an affordable hotel getaway for our son's visitors day at Camp. I found the Oakview Lodge & Marina on a website. Since it was a short stay we figured how bad can it be? Well let me tell you, it was incredibly beautiful location, right on Little Hawk Lake. We stayed in a wonderful room that was incredibly charming. It was perfectly clean with no surprises. The beds were really comfortable. I am a terrible sleeper and for the first time in years I actually slept in till 7:00am. Trust me that is a really good sleep for an insomniac like me. Other features include a main room with music, books and satellite tv. The also have a great candy store on location.

The Service:
In both the lodge and the restaurant, the service was the best I've had in years. The owner Valerie was so friendly and made it her priority to make sure we were happy. We had numerous servers and people helping out in the restaurant and Stephanie was our main server. I can't praise the entire staff enough. They were beyond great!

The Food:

I know I gained weight last weekend at Oakview. If you go, book the meal plan for sure. It was 45 dollars per day per person and well worth it. I don't even know where to begin, saying the food tastes great does not do it justice. The presentation of each meal was unreal. Everything was so delicious. I'm not a lamb fan, but my wife ordered it on the last night. I would eat more lamb if it tasted like the lamb at Oakview. We were going to stay an extra night, just so we could eat in the restaurant again. Word of warning, don't snack during the day or you'll be sorry later. You'll want to save room for dessert.

I don't usually write reviews, but I had to say my piece of the Oakview.

Book the Oakview you will not be disappointed and it will surpass your expectations. We will return for sure!
